OWNER/GROOMER
Owner and Lead Groomer Gina Lawrence is a Proud experienced groomer for a little over 12 years! Gina has always had a great deal of love and care for animals since she was a young child. Gina started her grooming career as a bather for Kaycee's Pet & Groom located in downtown San Leandro California located in Mike's Feed & Pets. Starting her career in an established privately owned grooming shop, she was trained hands on by experienced groomers with over 20 years of experience. She progressed rapidly from bather to finisher to groomer then to Lead Groomer! Working for Kaycee's for 11 years, she was offered a position as Lead Groomer/Grooming Department Manager at VCA Animal Hospital located in San Pablo California, extremely overjoyed with the amazing opportunity she took the position! At VCA Animal Hospital she worked alongside Veterinarians, Veterinary Technicians handling pets with severe skin conditions, grooming sedated Pets, aggressive pets, and rescued pets in need of immediate care. She gained a great deal of knowledge of the medical side of grooming animals. One of Ginas lifelong goal has been to be able to own her own grooming shop and help pet parents care for their animals. The opportunity presented itself in June of 2022. An owner of a local grooming shop located in Hayward California was looking for an experienced groomer to take over her shop so she can retire after being opened for 45 years! Gina was honored to become the new owner and named it "Gina's Clean & Cozy Petcare" since she puts her heart in her career and makes sure every pet cared for at her shop is clean and extremely cozy because all her clients are treated like family!
Gina outside of her business she enjoys spending time with her family! Her Husband Jason which shares the same passion for pets as her. Jason being the Lead Management at Mikes Feed & Pets in San Leandro California was how they met! Married for 7 years with two amazing Sons Issac & Jayden. Her family are all animal lovers Issac 12 years old and has 2 bearded dragons, and his German Shepherd Falco and Miniature poodle Ace. Jayden 5 years old has Frogs, an American Bulldog Wobbles and a puppy German Shepherd Emmit! Gina loves to go on family vacations, taking trips to new destinations every year with her family and seeing the world making unforgettable memories. She attends seminars and conventions to further her education and knowledge in the care of pets. Being able to provide options for issues we all experience as being pet owners, she never hesitates on attending seminars to learn about new products/techniques used in the pet industry.

Angela has always highly valued the well-being of all animals by nurturing and providing the love all animals are in need of. She is definitely an animal lover at heart. Loving and caring for her animals from backyard chickens, her spoiled cats and her cherished dogs, to all the creepy crawlies in between. Her heart and home previously and will always be open to every stray animal in need of rescuing. Previously nursing litters of kittens and puppies in need and found amazing homes for all the liters. Prior to joining the team here at Clean & Cozy Petcare she was employed with Pet Food Express for many years, while working as lead manager there she became further educated by taking classes offered through Pet Food Express University and became well educated in Animal Nutrition and Holistic Petcare/Nutrition. Her passion for animals really shows from helping families find their dream dog and finding forever homes for animals in need. Knowing Angela's strong empathy and caring nature for animals that she shows from sweet kisses and tummy rubs, makes owners that much more comfortable in knowing their pets are being groomed in good hands!
Angela on her off time away from the grooming shop she keeps herself busy by spending quality time her two amazing kids, her son Judah 10 years old and her daughter Esme who is 3 years old. She enjoys adventuring outdoors in nature and along the coast! Making unforgettable memories by building sandcastles with her kids on the beach, searching for seashells and Seaglass when its low tide is what she cherishes! Not to mention the venturing out with her partner Diego on trails in the east bay, hiking finding forgotten/unknown rivers and creeks! Being able to experience all the beautiful things nature has to offer with the ones closest to her, is what she holds dear to her heart!
